In Nymphs in Greek Mythology you are introduced to some of the pastimes of the nymphs, the major types, and the names of the ones that appear in the mythological limelight. Nymphs are a handy group of female figures, ranging from little more than a nubile young woman to a powerful seductress. Some are described as goddesses rather than the more typical "nature spirit", but they tend to have less backstory than the major gods and goddesses.
