There are 3 major Greek poets whose tragedies we have (Aeschylus, Sophocles, and Euripides), but we haven't been so lucky with Greek comedy.Aristophanes is the only representative of Old Comedy whose work we have in complete form. He wrote plays with social commentary, like the anti-war comedy with a sex strike, Lysistrata.Read more about:
